FAQ'S

We know the Caribbean islands intimately and give you honest advice and suggestions.

We can offer you a very personal service and can book every detail of your trip for you, saving you time and effort and giving you peace of mind.

We have a trusted team on the ground to make sure that your holiday goes according to plan.

Your booking is protected by our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL 9381) granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for advance booking.

What do the price guides mean?

They are simply an indication of what a sample holiday might cost.

For tailor-made itineraries, we book hotels as required, therefore cannot give an exact quote until we confirm what standard of hotel and room category you would prefer and the availability.

We offer a choice of airlines and work with live systems, which means that prices can vary according to when the booking is made. You also have a choice of upgrades, so this will affect the price of your holiday.

The number of tours and extras you book will also have a bearing on the final price.

When is the best time to go?

Temperatures are nearly constant all year, averaging 29C (84F) during the day and 23C (74F) at night.

The driest months in the Caribbean area are usually December – April, but even when it rains, this rarely lasts for more than 30 minutes a day.

There is a risk of hurricanes from August – November and this may affect the islands of Jamaica, Dominica and Grenada, but because of its southerly location, rarely affects Trinidad & Tobago.

Carnival falls in the few days before Ash Wednesday, which usually occurs in February or early March.

Leatherback Turtles lay their eggs from March – August and then the hatchlings emerge from May – September.

What about flights?

We can book all flights, in all classes, with all the major airlines serving the Caribbean and Latin America for you. As an ATOL-bonded tour operator, we can often get good discounted fares, and by buying a package including flights and land arrangements, your holiday will be protected. However, if you prefer to buy your own flights, we are very happy for you to do so.

What about health issues?

Please consult your own doctor or travel clinic for their recommendations before travelling. Although not compulsory, they might recommend that your polio, typhoid and tetanus inoculations are up to date and that you have a vaccination for infective Hepatitis A.

Malaria treatment is rarely necessary for the destinations we travel to, but mosquitos can carry dengue fever, zika and other diseases, so it is recommended that insect repellent be used.

You must have comprehensive travel insurance arranged before you travel.

If you are restricted in any way by age or health, do let us know so that we can design an itinerary that is right for you.
